|概況

埃塞克斯大學（University of Essex）是英國一所優(yōu)秀的綜合性大學。該校已于1965年獲得皇家許可證。埃塞克斯大學在經(jīng)濟、管理、語言、人權(quán)、社會學、機器人等專業(yè)領(lǐng)域享有世界盛譽，它是前1994大學集團成員。2016年泰晤士綜合排名英國第35位。

|地理位置

埃塞克斯大學的主校園位于200英畝的美麗的綠地之上，各種設(shè)施齊全。從這里到海邊和鄉(xiāng)村，以及以著名的園林藝術(shù)師約翰.康斯特布爾命名的“康斯特布爾村”都很方便。這位園林藝術(shù)師為埃塞克斯大學等許多當?shù)鼐坝^都進行過繪畫創(chuàng)作?？茽柷兴固鼐鄠惗刂挥?5英里(90公里)，從倫敦利物浦街火車站就有頻繁的火車開往科爾切斯特，大約50分鐘就到達目的地。從埃塞克斯大學到歐洲大陸也非常方便。倫敦斯坦斯特德機場距此僅40英里(64公里)，搭乘經(jīng)過校園的公共汽車，一個小時就可以抵達機場。哈里奇輪渡口在16英里(25公里)之外，開車30分鐘就到了。校園里有學生需要的一切物品，因此學生只需步行便可輕松獲得想買的物品。如果學生想要去鎮(zhèn)上，可以乘坐15分鐘一班的公交車去。還有20分鐘一班的公交車通往火車站，因此，科切斯特距倫敦約一個半小時車程，還有直達線路通往Stanstead機場和Harwich港口。

|學校設(shè)施

新商學院: 埃塞克斯大學商學院于2015年正式投放使用, 該教學樓耗資2300萬英鎊。其上部圓頂和雨水回收池能夠調(diào)節(jié)溫度，保持商學院全年溫度適宜。并且該教學樓每天可吸收1噸二氧化碳，是全英第一所真正意義上的零碳排放商學院。學生中心和圖書館擴建：為增強學生校園體驗，耗資£2600萬英鎊建成的新教學中心能為學生提供“一站式服務(wù)”，該中心包括：一體化的小組合作學習中心、全新的IT設(shè)施、尖端媒體中心以及24小時閱覽室。而新擴建的圖書館增添了文檔中心、特別典藏版文獻書店、更加寬敞的學習空間、更加豐富的圖書館收藏量以及更大的學生圖書借閱服務(wù)點。

|學校住宿

學校有專門為學生提供的現(xiàn)代化的住宿，其中百分之八十八的住宿在校園里。國際學生只要在截止日之前申請，都會在他們的學習過程中保證有學校的宿舍提供。學校的學生來自世界120多個國家。學校的主校園實際上是一座大學城，所以這里既有教學樓、學生宿舍，也有商店、銀行。埃塞克斯大學的宿舍有幾處，分別是the Towers（4 處在北部，2處在南部）、the South Courts、the Houses和Wolfson Court。其中，the Towers的住宿費最低，the South Courts是豪華套間而住宿費最高。
